About Me
Kanani Kaopua serves as Senior Vice President at Hawaiian Properties and brings 18 years of experience in the community association management industry, with the past decade dedicated to leadership roles within the company. She initially joined as Vice President and Senior Property Manager and now oversees the condominium division, supporting a large and diverse portfolio of communities. Her background includes managing large-scale, master-planned, and resort developments, and she has served as a trusted liaison between boards, developers, and key stakeholders across residential, commercial, and mixed-use properties. Kanani holds the highest professional designation awarded by Community Associations Institute (CAI), the Professional Community Association Manager (PCAM). She is a respected industry educator and frequent keynote speaker at CAI Hawaii’s board development workshops, where she trains board members on topics such as financial oversight, budgeting, reserve planning, covenant enforcement, and effective governance. She served two consecutive terms on the CAI Hawaii Chapter Board of Directors, including as Chapter President, and is a two-time recipient of the CAI Hawaii Chapter President’s Award. She was also recognized as a member of Pacific Business News’ prestigious 40 Under 40, honoring young professionals making significant impacts in their industries. Outside of her professional role, Kanani volunteers on the Board of Directors for HUGS and serves as a Court Appointed Special Advocate for the State Judiciary. In her free time, she enjoys traveling and spending quality time with her family.
